Woah this week is going by faster than I can keep up with! It feels like it should only be Tuesday but it’s Thursday. I asked in stories earlier this week what would be helpful to see here in 2020. Lots of responses for wearing 1 item different ways so that is what I am sharing today! Starting off with the most classic piece that every lady should have in her closet – the white button down shirt. I have gone through my fair share of classic white button down shirts over the years, all with different materials, fit and style. Everything from the stretchy, tight fitting button downs to the more tailored cotton button down and now this oversized white button down. I came up with 7 different ways to wear this top into the spring. (Our highs are in the upper 70s all next week!)
Starting off with a super casual, everyday outfit paired with denim and flats. This one is a no-brainer, really easy to recreate and one you can feel put together with. One of the most requested outfits to see are ones for moms who want to get dressed everyday but keep it casual and easy. This is definitely one of those outfits for running errands, going to lunch etc. And if it’s chilly out, easily add a coat or vest over this. White button down shirt (size XS) | mid rise jeans | flats
Not feeling the front tuck? Simply keep the shirt untucked and wear it as a tunic. That’s what I love about this particular white button down is that it’s long enough to wear over denim and leggings. White button down shirt (size XS) | mid rise jeans | mules
As seen here! I added a scarf to dress the outfit up a little bit more with leopard mules. This is an easy way to transition into spring and still feel comfy and put together. White button down shirt (size XS) | leggings | similar scarf | leopard mules
Always a fan of an all white outfit! Not much thought has to go into this one – maybe add a statement earring to go with this! Love it with the flats and could easily wear flip flops on warmer days. White button down shirt (size XS) | white denim | flats
White button downs are also great as a work option. I paired them with one of my favorite pairs of pants from last year and even scooped these up in black just recently! White button down shirt (size XS) | high waisted pants (size S) | similar heels
Next pair it with your favorite printed maxi skirt tied up! What’s also great about the longer, tunic length is this makes it much easier to tie without it riding up! There’s a lot more fabric here to play around with to get it like you want and not have to worry pulling it down all the time while moving. Let’s just call skin showing a big no no. You could even tuck it into the skirt if you prefer. White button down shirt (size XS) | maxi skirt (size S) | flip flops
Typically, I would throw a denim jacket over a dress like this but thought why not change it up and throw a button down over it?! It’s very beachy (is that even a word?!) and classy! I kept the shirt unbuttoned to let the stripes show through on the dress. Definitely a look I will be wearing soon! White button down shirt (size XS) | striped maxi dress | flip flops
Have a piece in mind you want me to style many ways? Send me an email or message to let me know! I’m always up for the challenge!
Have a great Thursday!

Is the shirt see-thru? Are you wearing a camisole under it?
Hi Melanie! I don’t find it to be see-thru. I do have a nude bra on and I’m not wearing a camisole. ❤️
