It’s golf tournament season and that makes me very happy! We are a full on golf family, all thanks to my husband, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. We enjoy watching it on tv, seeing our little guy play and attending the tournament that comes to Ponte Vedra Beach every year. If you have plans to attend a golf tournament soon and are wondering what to wear, I’ve got you covered!
I have put together this type of post every year since I started blogging. Last year I decided to change it up a bit and make it a little more fun by putting together outfits by the type of watcher. These are even husband approved! He laughed when I came up with these last year but in a way that is so accurate. So scroll on down to whichever type of watcher you are and there’s your outfit!
POV: Sit and watch – you attend with your husband who wants to set up a chair or sit in the stands on a specific hole and watch as each player comes by. You want to look cute but also super comfortable. An easy midi dress or longer pair of shorts is perfect for this! Don’t forget your sun hat too if you are setting up in the sun!
POV: Sporty watcher – You want to look the part, maybe you are bringing your kids with you and will be walking a few of the holes. Going the sporty outfit route is a no brainer. While lots of ladies dress up for the tournament, you can’t go wrong wearing a cute golf dress or fun skort. You will absolutely need your sunscreen!
POV: The walker watcher – you may not be super into golf but are attending because your husband loves it. You want to be comfortable but still look super cute and classy. I would highly suggest a comfortable pair of sneakers, sunscreen and be prepared to be hot.
POV: The social watcher – this is for the ladies attending with their girlfriends. You may have suite tickets, will be enjoying a cocktail and there to do just that. These dresses are all perfect for the occasion! They are all breezy, colorful and great for being outside all day.
Here are options for the kiddos!
Don’t forget your clear bag as well! Cheers!
