Cheers to Friday! We’ve been down with the flu all week and the little guy finally went back to school today, on a Friday of all days! It feels like it should be Monday. Our washing machine was unusable during the whole ordeal too! Needless to say it was a pretty stressful week and I’m ready to sayonara to it! So glad things are finally starting to look up!
Excited to share a few things I’ve been loving lately! Finding staple pieces for summer to add to my closet is what I’ve been looking for. I tend to wear pieces I love over and over but want to add more to that this year! I love a good t-shirt dress that I can throw on with a denim jacket and sandals. I love the stripes on this one, that it’s not too fitted and really lightweight. The price tag isn’t too bad either at only $15 and it comes in solid colors too! Sharing more spring/summer pieces I am loving, a few home organization items and my new favorite cookbook below!
The latest Amazon try on in Instagram stories this past Sunday included this button down shirt and these denim shorts. Both easily summer staples! Wear them together with flip flops or pair the white button down with denim, a skirt, tucked into high waisted shorts etc. There’s so many ways to wear it!
I also shared this breezy midi dress that I will definitely be wearing soon! The colors in this one are so pretty and I really love all of the different color combination options!
I ran into Sephora a few weeks ago to pick up the Hourglass concealer and let me just say that I am loving it! I have worn Shape Tape the last 2-3 years and once I put the on Hourglass concealer, I have not looked back. I apply this Tatcha color corrector first that helps eliminate the dark circles under my eyes and really hydrates too!
I also picked up this mascara in the travel size to try it out first and will definitely get the full size soon!
Summer accessories are so fun to add to outfits! I’ve been loving the shape and color of this hat and can’t wait to wear it more!
You can’t go through summer without a nude flip flop. I wore these to the pool and beach all summer last year and I can’t believe how well they have held up after getting wet and dirty. Only $9 and they are super comfy! I will probably scoop up another pair to have on backup!
These wedge sneakers finally came back in stock last week! I picked up the perforated ones from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year and get asked about them every time I wear them. Really comfortable and love wearing them with everything from leggings to denim.
I started reorganizing my house at the end of last year and slowly adding these rotating turntables in my pantry and spice cabinet. I use this one for all of my spices, oils etc. in the spice cabinet and this one in the pantry for the little guys snacks. A really easy and convenient way to see everything we have. And he can grab his snacks for himself which is a win!
Also cleaned out the medicine cabinet and added these stackable storage bins for bandaids, medicine, thermometers, ointments etc. to keep everything neat and in one place.
I would say I’m pretty old school in lots of different areas. When I have a product that works, I stick to it! I’ve been using Tan Towels for years – I would say since college, maybe even high school. I’ve tried the mousse tanning products and those just get everywhere for me. I used a tan towel the other night right after I got out of the shower and woke up looking bronzed! Easy peasy!
Lastly, I cannot say enough good things about this cookbook. I’ve only tried 2 recipes so far and both were delicious! I made the healing chicken soup twice this week while dealing with the flu. Highly recommend it if you are looking for easy and healthy weeknight meals.
Have a great weekend!
