Hi, friends! Who’s ready for some cooler weather?! I know I am! Even my husband has said it a few times this week and he prefers warmer weather! There comes a point in different seasons for me where I am ready to move on to the next one even when it still might be a little early. It happens at the end of winter and summer for me. By March, I am ready for summer clothes and by August, I am wanting to start incorporating fall pieces into my wardrobe. September and most of October are still so hot to completely dress for fall so the best thing to do is dress for the season and the weather by adding fall pieces to your summer pieces. I took one of my favorite pairs of shorts from the summer and thought of ways to add fall layers to get away from the full on summer look. As much as I love dressing for summer, fall is one of my favorite seasons for clothing. I can still wear super lightweight sweaters and still feel covered up at the same time. For this first look, I threw on my new favorite vneck sweater. Shorts and sweaters are a no brainer transition but I think it’s all about balance. My shorts are super roomy and oversized so I paired it with a tighter fitting sweater. There’s been something about pink sweaters for me recently – this may have been the 3rd one I bought this season. Whoops!
All shades of pink and blush are totally working right now. I used to be one that was nervous to pair different shades of one color together in an outfit but I really like how they each stand out. When I was in the fitting room trying this sweater on, I had on my new favorite earrings and loved the pink and lavender combination. Up next, I paired a simple floral cami with a denim jacket. Denim jackets are always my go to pretty much with everything. I may have mentioned this before, but when I was working a corporate job our office was laid back so I could dress pretty casual. I wore my denim jacket probably 2-3 times a week with different outfits. There was definitely a point in time when my husband told me I should probably get a different jacket.
