Taking a moment to step away from sales and cute outfits to share these pictures with you! We took family pictures at the beach a little over a month ago right at sunset. It was the perfect evening (except for the mosquitos) and Nikki captured our family perfectly! She had the pictures to me the next day! I was in Target when I viewed them for the first time and I was basically crying. I stood in the same spot for at least 20 minutes looking at them with the biggest smile on my face. I could not believe someone could be so talented and capture pictures Andrew and I had dreamed about! When Andrew and I moved here, we both agreed we wanted to take pictures at the beach. Last year didn’t work out and we thought this year was going to have to get pushed back because of Hurricane Michael, but we were patient and picked the most perfect night. The little guy actually napped that day so he was really cooperative and smiled the whole time! These are pictures we will have for a lifetime! I am even working on getting them framed for our house.
With Thanksgiving this Thursday, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I’m thankful for this year. These 2 people are of course really high up there. They have been so patient with me during this time of learning, working hard and trying to stay positive. I am so thankful for a husband who is so supportive, encouraging and really and truly the best father to our son. He senses the days when I need a break and he is so quick to step in. I had a wake up call over the summer that really put things into perspective about what’s important. I think it was God’s way of telling me to slow down and to be more present. I read something the other day that said when you say you don’t have time for something, does that mean it’s not a priority? I’ve learned a lot about myself this past year and most of it is what I am capable of and what I’m not. Balance has been a hard thing to come by this year, but I am slowly getting there day by day. Prioritizing and taking things one thing at a time has really helped me become more present these last few months. I am so thankful for my little family, our health, and you guys! Your support here has been something I could have only imagined when I first started. I am truly blessed to have you here with me!
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family wherever you are. I wish you all the greatest of blessings!
*Thank you to Nikki with Nikki B Photography for making our picture dreams come true! We will truly treasure them for a lifetime!
