How has everyone’s week been? It’s been cold here most of the week and I love it! So first off in today’s post, I want to talk Black Friday and Cyber Monday! If you are more of an online shopper rather than one who likes to get up early (or stay up really late) to get to the stores early to avoid all the crazies, I would be so very thankful if you were to come to my website, facebook, instagram etc. to check out the sales with me! This is my first year as a blogger bringing the best sales to you! I think we have all noticed I love a good sale (and free shipping)! So I will be spending the remainder of this week and all of next week researching all the best deals! What do you guys want to see? Clothing, electronics, beauty? You let me know! Any specific retailers – Amazon, Target, Loft, Old Navy, Nordstrom? You are the reason I am able to keep this blog going and I am so thankful for everyone who comes here to read my posts! I have already included tabs at the top of the home page specifically for Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales for each retailer. I will also have a huge blog post with all the sales but the tabs at the top will host all the specific items and links with the sales to those specific items. If anyone has any questions on how to shop the links, please let me know and I would be more than happy to help!
How is Thanksgiving next week?! Ahhh! This has really been the fastest year (I probably say that every year) but it feels like we were just in June celebrating our little guy’s birthday! Does anyone wake up Thanksgiving morning and get so excited to get dressed and look cute but then by 4pm you’re over it and just want leggings and a big ole t-shirt? Yea that’s me! When we were growing up, Thanksgiving Day was always the day we would cut down our Christmas tree. After a huge lunch, we would load up in the car and drive about 45 to a Christmas tree farm to pick out the best tree! If I remember correctly, I was usually the one who always picked out the best one. 😉 Sadly, the tree farm closed about 3 or 4 years ago so the last few years we have picked up a tree from a local nursery. Having those memories though will last with me forever! Still convincing my husband to let us get a tree this weekend! Fingers crossed!
Ok so enough about Christmas trees because first we need to celebrate Thanksgiving! I have 3 outfit options here that I would easily wake up on Thanksgiving morning and wear. There’s a dressier option with a skirt, a casual look with with jeans and the one that I think most people would opt for – leggings! Because duh! We all are guilty of overindulging that day so wearing something that stretches out is always a win!
Dressy option – This skirt is one that I have had in my closet for a few years now. I love it paired with these over the knee boots – told y’all you would see them again! This white sweater was also in the post from this week too! See how versatile it is?! This look would be so cute if you have a later Thanksgiving meal or going out for a night cap on the town later that evening. Or you can always change into your pj’s and shop the Black Friday sales with me! 😉

If you are the kind that loves to dress up for Thanksgiving, this is such a great option!
Casual with denim – I picked up this cozy cowl sweater a few weeks ago and love it! I posted it here for Friday’s Fitting Room Finds.

In years past, we have traveled with Andrew’s family for Thanksgiving to Rockingham, NC. Has anyone ever been there? It’s in the country for sure but the quiet little town is so pretty! There’s not much around but we drive down this hilly, windy road to get to his family’s home. We all sit outside to have dinner on the front porch and then in the evenings there’s a huge bonfire that everyone sits around to drink and watch the kids run in the fields. You can see out for miles and miles. We unfortunately will not be traveling there next week but if we were, this is definitely what I would wear. It’s always pretty chilly so the plaid shirt layered underneath the sweater would be perfect!
Casual/Leggings Option – so after seeing these pictures, I realized I should have steamed this sweater. So let’s pretend it’s not wrinkled and see the sweater for what it really is – the perfect tunic to wear with leggings! This sweater is from last year but I found a few almost identical options!

Another great way to wear this tunic is to throw a blanket scarf over it. Remember when this plaid scarf (found one for under $10!!) was all the rage a few years ago? It’s still a pretty popular scarf and I still wear mine every year!

Whew! That was a long post! If you are still here – thank you for getting this far. I hope that I helped you guys get some ideas as to what to wear for different Thanksgiving occasions!
I am noticing a lot of retailers are having Pre Black Friday sales – Old Navy is 40% off or 50% off if you are a cardholder and up to 75% off clearance! I’m hoping to round all of them up in a blog post for tomorrow!
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
