Cheers to Friday! I’m glad to see it here! What are you up to this weekend? The little guy has a baseball game bright and early tomorrow morning and our sweet Lydia Grace started running a fever yesterday. It’s early in the morning typing this but I’m praying she wakes up fever free.
I wanted to share this Loft dress I have been loving lately! I packed it for our trip to Louisiana, wore it to a sushi lunch and then to my besties house that evening. (We were stuck there for a chlorine leak and I feel asleep on her couch in it! Just goes to show how comfy it is!) I took these pictures in Baton Rouge and really miss it there. The people, the atmosphere, the restaurants, the southern food – there’s nothing like it. I joked with my husband that Baton Rouge has so many more restaurant options than we do in Ponte Vedra. He started naming off restaurants we love and they are all great, but there is something about Louisiana food that you can’t get anywhere else. We popped into a quaint pizza place to get the little guy a slice before we headed to our favorite sushi restaurant that we miss dearly. I took advantage of getting pictures taken to share this dress that I love!
I typically don’t gravitate towards red but this dress just drew me to it. I didn’t even look twice at it online but was my favorite piece I took home after shopping in the store recently. Don’t be fooled by the reviews online, because while they are not great, I think this dress is one of a kind. I always look for dresses that I want to wear over and over, this is one of them. The ease of the maxi length with the sleeves and functional buttons all the way down will make you want to grab for it this spring and summer. I wore it to dinner recently as well and paired a denim jacket with it. (see below)
Fit tip: I am 5’6″ wearing the XS. It hits me mid calf and it does have room to it. I would suggest sizing down in this dress for a more flattering fit.
Outfit: red floral dress | slip on sandals | gold hoop earrings | bracelets | sunglasses
Have a lovely Friday!
