Hi, friends! This has been a crazy week – I can’t believe it’s already Thursday! The little guy has been home with me most of the week so all work has been put aside. Not that I would ever wish for him to be sick (it was just a really bad cold and cough) but it really makes me slow down and puts thing into perspective. I am so thankful that I can stay home to take care of him, get him to the doctor and make sure he has everything he needs. Life is a funny thing sometimes and gives you blessings when you didn’t even know you needed them. Stepping away from Instagram and blogging for 2 days was really just what I needed. I’m not ashamed to say I get really burned out on Instagram. The constant consuming, scrolling, seeing how much everyone else is doing and never feeling like I am doing enough is exhausting and hard to keep up with especially during the holiday season and busiest shopping time of the year. (I didn’t intend to write this today but here we are as it’s something that’s been on my mind for months) A sweet reader messaged me last week saying that my account/blog has helped her to not feel the constant need to find people to follow and the frequency of things that I share has been right on. That really meant so much to me because I never want to overshare here or make you feel like what I share is not relatable. I really am just an everyday mama with to do lists a mile long every single day trying to keep up with it all. I am so blessed to have this blog and you here following along. So THANK YOU! Let’s really remember what this time of year is all about and if taking a step away from social media for a few days to really see what’s right in front of you, then do it! It will be there tomorrow.
I am excited to share a very mini December Amazon try on with just a few new pieces and also include what has been the most shopped items this whole year! I shared quite a few of them multiple times throughout the year because they are ones that I continue to wear over and over. There are a few summer pieces because let’s be honest, summer clothing with blue and white stripes, floral maxi dresses, cute shorts and colorful tops are so fun to wear! It’s my favorite things to look for on Amazon! And I may or may not have a really cute white dress that I’m sharing as a new find today! Let’s see what the most shopped items were for the year first!
Leggings really are a girl’s best friend, right? These leggings are the ones I reach for the most. High waisted, really comfortable, not too thick – everything you want in a pair of leggings! This tunic is also a favorite and one that I personally wear at least once a week. I wear it so much, I recently scooped it up in the black too.Tunic (size XS) | high waisted leggings (size XS) | sneakers (sold out)
One of my personal favorite jumpsuits for pull out for special occasions! I shared this one a few times over the year including in the November Amazon Try On – Holiday Outfit Edition! It’s great for a wedding, date night and even a holiday party. Pair it with a fun earring, some heels and you are good to go! Ruffle shoulder jumpsuit (size XS) | earrings
If there’s one sweater that’s been a favorite here, it’s definitely this one! I shared this one a few months ago and always keep an eye on restocks because it’s that good! It’s super soft and comes in a few other colors! Turtleneck sweater (size S) | denim | mules (sold out; similar here)
Daily Ritual is one of my go to brands on Amazon and you guys seem to always love pieces I share from there. Everything is incredibly soft and just a great line for easy, basic pieces to add to your closet. Would you believe it if I told you this dress is the best seller here for the year?! It is friends! So easy to wear just like it is or throw a denim jacket over it. It comes in a few other colors too!Terry cotton sweatshirt dress (size XS) | denim jacket | sandals | earrings
Just about every time I would go in my closet over the summer, I reached for an easy maxi dress if we were going somewhere. I think next summer will be all about floral maxi dresses and I’m excited for them! This floral maxi became a top favorite here and I can’t wait to wear it again next summer. Floral maxi dress (size S) | sandals | straw bag | earrings
Let’s just chat about these shorts for a minute! At first I thought sharing these shorts back in February would be a little silly but holy cow you ladies loved them! These were right up there with the terry cloth dress! They come in lots of colors and can definitely see myself scooping up another color for next summer. Tie waist shorts (size S) | ruffle top (size S) | earrings
There’s a funny story about this dress. I shared it in a try on and then a sweet reader messaged me and told me I had it on backwards! I received so many messaged saying it was preferred that way – so needless to say this dress could go both ways! I love a little twist on a little black dress and this one is so cute with the tiers and ruffle neck (that should go in the back). Tiered ruffle dress (size S) | clutch | block heels | earrings
This fun pom pom top made the top favorites for the year too! I reached for this top multiple times over the summer to wear with white denim and shorts. It comes in a few other stripe colors and another I can’t wait to wear again next summer! Pom pom tie neck top (size S) | white denim | sandals | straw bag
If you added any of these to your closet this year or any items that I shared, which ones are your favorites?! I would love to know!
Now moving on to a few new pieces that I have had come in recently. Lots of black, neutral tones and one white dress that has me ready for summer clothing again.
Starting off with this black and tan sweater. There’s so many striped sweaters on Amazon this year and this one really stood out as a classic. I paired them with these amazing jeggings. Yes, that’s right I said jeggings. That word used to scare me until l put these on and now I can’t stop wearing them. A legging that looks like jeans – sign me up! They are actually not from Amazon but Walmart! I will be sharing these in a Walmart try on next week on Instagram but easily paired them with this sweater 2 ways by just changing the shoes to show a casual outfit and a more dressy outfit. Color block sweater (size S) | jeggings (size S) | flats
Sharing the easy way to dress this outfit up by changing out the shoes to booties! The jeggings with black booties makes this so chic and really elongates your legs. Would wear this out to dinner for date night or a casual holiday party. Color block sweater (size S) | jeggings (size S) | booties
There’s a really popular Free People sweater that’s making its way around Instagram again this year. While I love the look of it, I would prefer to find something similar at a lower price point. This turtleneck sweater is not exactly the same but pretty close and you get the same feel of it being oversized. It is super comfortable, long enough for leggings (or jeggings) and comes in lots of other colors! This is an easy outfit to wear for everyday and so fun with a little pop of leopard! Turtleneck sweater (size XS) | jeggings (size S) | leopard mules
I shared this sherpa vest for Black Friday and it was a hit! If you have followed along since last year, there’s a black sherpa vest from Jcrew Factory that I have shared over and over and sadly, it is out of stock. This one is so similar and even though low in stock, it comes in a few other colors! I love it paired with black, white and even grey. This would also make a great Christmas gift for any fashionable ladies on your list in any of the pretty colors. Fleece lines sherpa vest (size S) | denim | soft blend sweatshirt | mules
This high neck ruffle dress with the metallic print is so pretty! It also comes in black too which I would typically prefer but decided to try this brown color and love it! If you are looking for a last minute holiday dress, wedding guest dress or New Year’s Eve dress, this is a great option! High neck ruffle dress (size XS; comes in black too)
I might be a little crazy sharing a white dress in December but I had my eye on this tiered dress for a few months and it finally came back in stock! I scooped it up so fast because I live in dresses like this during the warmer months. We even have days during this time of year that I could wear this dress but I will hold off until about March. If you have a warm weather vacation coming up, this is definitely one to pack to throw over a swimsuit or wear out and about with sandals, a fedora and little straw bag. Can you tell I am missing summer clothes? 🙂Button down shirt dress (size 0/2)
If you missed any of my Amazon try ons throughout the year, you can find them all here on the blog under the Amazon tab at the top. Or if it’s easier to see the items all in one place, I always link everything I share in my Amazon Storefront.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for continuously supporting these monthly Amazon try ons and this little space of mine. I can’t wait to do it all over again next year!
