Cheers to Friday! I think we all can agree this week has been a sad, unimaginable and devastating week. There was shock and confusion making the decision to send our children to school while also watching what these families were experiencing. Sometimes I can’t believe this is the world we live in. I have kept quiet on IG and mostly here on the blog this week out of respect for the events that took place in Uvalde. Everyone processes things very differently and I tend to keep these conversations within my close friends and family. There’s been lots of prayer this week for the victims and our world. What can we do to make a change? Our children do not deserve to grow up in a world like this. I wish I had the answers and knew exactly what to say but honestly I’m not equipped for that. This is not about politics, it’s about our children and how to keep them safe in a place that is like home to them. It makes me so sad to think that our sweet boy has no idea something so tragic can happen in the blink of an eye. Our teachers deserve to make a difference in our children’s lives without fear. How grateful that we have wonderful people like them who show up every single day?! I am going to continue loving on my children and doing what I can to keep them as safe as I possibly can. Please know that my staying quiet on IG is not about not caring. I’m just someone who shows clothing and some pretty good Amazon finds.
If you feel inclined to donate, Everytown.org is an amazing organization doing what they can to end gun violence and save lives. They also provide an option to fill out a form to urge senators to pass gun safety legislation.
Here we go with this month’s Amazon finds! There are certainly pieces that catch me by surprise and this was one of them this month! I loved loved this dress right when I put it on and even packed it and wore it for dinner on our night away this past weekend. My husband said it’s his new favorite dress of mine. The color is so soft and the ruffles are darling! It’s a feminine dress that you can dress up for a summer wedding or even wear during the day with sandals. I sized up to a medium in this dress and so glad I did.Outfit: ruffle hem mini dress | rattan earrings | gold & white stretch bracelets | straw handbag | square clear strap heels
I am always a sucker for a blue and white striped dress. I can never seem to pass them up. This is another dress I packed and wore it for a late lunch and then in the car ride home. It’s so comfortable with the lightweight, moveable fabric and has the cutest ruffle details on the sleeves. Sometimes these types of dresses tend to be overly tight when the seam-lines hit right above the chest, but there’s plenty of room. Very happy with the quality of this dress!
Hey white dress season! I shared my 5 favorites in a blog post here if you missed it. I usually shy away from spaghetti strap dresses as I don’t care for my chest showing. I’m very modest if you haven’t noticed but I wanted to try this one! It comes in a few other color options but I love the white for summer. Pack this as a coverup option for the beach this summer and throw it on for a casual dinner with statement earrings and your hair back like I did here. It is very flowy, a true maxi length and lined about half way down.Outfit: white asymmetrical maxi dress | rattan earrings | gold bangle bracelets | straw handbag
Might I say this is one of the best Amazon finds I have come across in a while?! Finding the really good pieces don’t come around too often anymore but this is a fantastic dress! I posted a reel with it on Instagram recently and shared it in a blog post as I wore it to lunch with my mom last week. I felt so confident wearing this dress all day. I love it paired with the same statement earrings and hair back. I’m a total flip-flop girl but paired it with these braided sandals. Dare I say “fancy coastal grandmother” style?!
If you have a wedding to attend soon, I highly suggest this dress! It’s feminine and flirty paired with sophistication and classiness. I adore the one-shoulder and color! I paired it with these floral earrings to dress it up.
This blue and white printed dress is back in stock from last year! I first purchased this when I was pregnant and was able to wear it during the middle of my pregnancy. The quality is outstanding and it’s not see-through. I love the fit of this dress with the simple v-neck, bell sleeves and tiers. Outfit: geometric blue & white dress | gold bangle bracelets | white slip on sandals
I ordered this dress very last minute to wear to LG’s 1st birthday party and so I did! It ended up being warmer than I was expecting and this floral dress kept me cool and comfortable. The colors are so vibrant and the ruffles are so flattering on the shoulder area. It is lined underneath so no need to wear a slip. I just adore this dress for summer! Outfit: bright floral maxi dress | gold bangle bracelets
I’m not typically a person who orders dresses in multiple colors but after wearing this smocked dress in purple for my husband’s birthday dinner recently, I had to order it in this pretty green color! It comes in lots of different patterns and solid color options! I think it’s so great for summer when you are wanting to throw on an easy and cute maxi dress for the day. Take this into nighttime with a simple sandal.
One of my absolute favorite dresses it now available in more colors! I have the ginger color from 2 years ago and have worn it so much. I have always felt like the top was a tad tight in the size XS, so I went up to a size small in this new dusty purple color. I wore it out the other day and it was so breezy and comfortable!
Smocked dresses are still totally in! The crewneck on this dress is so flattering with the puff sleeve. This dress is midi length and very flowy. This is a great church or work option. I love having dresses in my closet that can be worn for different occasions.
Bringing this chic black dress back from last year! This is so great to dress up for date night or keep it casual with a denim jacket for daytime. I paired it with my new favorite necklace I found on Etsy! It’s gorgeous and will go with so many outfits for summer. This dress is very lightweight and moveable. Outfit: black spaghetti strap dress | necklace | gold bangle bracelets | neutral sandals
Hey cute shorts! I love love a printed short for summer! It’s a nice change from dresses and a way to keep things casual during the day. I paired the shorts with a simple ruffle sleeve tee. You could throw on a denim jacket as well. These shorts have a longer length to them which is great for my 5’6″ frame. If you are shorter, these shorts will be long on you. They have an elastic waistband with an adjustable tie.Outfit: ruffle sleeve shirt | patterned pull on shorts | rattan earrings | bangle bracelets | white slide on sandals
This 2-piece set has been a best seller this month! I shared it in Sunday finds recently and packed it for our getaway. I love that it looked like a romper but you can pair the top and shorts separately. Think maxi skirt with the top and a cute striped top or white eyelet top for summer. This set is surprisingly true to size as I am wearing a size small. I was able to pull the shorts up a little higher to not show my stomach and still have a fair amount of length left to the shorts. This is definitely a summer vacation must have!
Lastly, we all need easy athleisure tops to wear with shorts during these summer months. There are just some days you don’t want to get dressed and wearing a pair of shorts and tee is the best you’ve got. These tees come in a pack of 2, are very stretchy and come in more colors! I will be packing these for our trip to Montana this summer for hiking. I have these athletic shorts in 2 colors – black and navy and wear them all the time! Outfits: light purple tee & white tee (2 pack) | black athletic shorts | gold & white stretch bracelets | watch
Other random things I’ve purchased this month:
Packing cubes | I ordered another set of packing cubes last minute when I realized that all of ours were in our large suitcase in the attic. I didn’t want to ask my husband to get them down and I couldn’t pack for a night away without them. Especially when sharing a suitcase with my husband. These keep things all nice, neat and organized.
Cube shape sorter | I had come across these in my search for baby toys a while ago but had never purchased it. Our sweet girl is in physical therapy right now and when the PT showed up with one of these and LG took to it right away, I ordered it as soon as she left!
Throw pillow covers | I ordered these pillow covers immediately when I saw them. They fit the coastal, blue and white vibe I have going in our home. I was going to put them on the couch on our back patio but decided to keep in inside. I have the 20×20 covers. These are just the covers so you will have to order the inserts separately.
Throw pillow inserts | These are the inserts I ordered in the 22×22 and they fit perfectly.
Biossance hand cream | I always keep this hand cream on my bedside table and constantly reordering. My husband and I go through so much hand cream!
Quick dry beach towel | Have you ever realized how thick beach towels are?! I really didn’t until ordering this quick dry towel to try out. The little guy used it at the pool last week and I couldn’t believe how little space these things take up in the bag! They even come with their own bag to stay organized. We do need to use it more to get the full lasting effect of it because of the price tag. We shall see and I will report back!
That’s all for this month’s finds! I hope you have a nice, relaxing long weekend. See you back here for the best Memorial Day sales this weekend! Most retailers have already started theirs! Cheers!
