So I have been a little MIA this week. I had a few blog posts ready to go that I was super excited about, but my thoughts and prayers have been with Texas and Louisiana this week. After going through a similar experience last year in Louisiana, I know the heartache and struggle people are experiencing. We were so lucky last year that our home stayed dry but there were so many people who were not as fortunate in Louisiana and now Texas this year. My heart goes out to everyone affected by Hurricane Harvey! These past few days, I have been reading up on all the ways to donate. After donating to the American Red Cross, I knew there had to be a way to send physical items to people in need. One particular way that seemed fitting for our family was The Texas Diaper Bank. They have set up a wish list on Amazon where all you have to do is click and send to have a pack of diapers delivered to someone in need. A fellow blogger that I have been following for years now – Veronika’s Blushing is located in Houston and providing all of the information on different ways to donate and help if you are local.
I’ve been searching for new pants for a few months now that will change up the everyday denim and white jeans. Since I am not working in an office setting anymore, my dress pants have been pushed to the back of my closet and leggings, shorts and jeans have been in my daily mix of everyday wear. While I was working in an office, I really did enjoy dressing for my job. It changed over the years from me wearing dress pants and heels with blazers to more of a dressy casual look wearing dresses with sandals or booties, depending upon the time of year and dress pants with flats and an easy top. With the less dressy look, came my love for easy casual style. I love when I find a pant (or top) that I can easily dress up or dress down. That’s where these jogger pants came in. I have had joggers on my mind for a few weeks now, even trying a pair on a few weeks ago but didn’t care for the fit. When I tried these joggers on at Loft last week, they were a no brainer. They are currently an additional 50% off! I went with the petite size to make them a little shorter on me and hit at a good spot above my ankles. Finding a good versatile pant that you can wear year round is a staple for anyone’s wardrobe. I came up with 3 ways I would wear this pants year round! I had so much fun preparing for this shoot and putting these looks together!
As you will be able to see, Florida and my hair are not getting along. I think I mentioned this previously. The humidity is unreal being so close to the beach. I go outside and within 10 minutes my hair is flat and frizzy. I am in search of a good hairspray that isn’t sticky, will tame the frizz and hold the curls. If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears! I’ll let you guess which pictures we took first. It’s pretty funny but I just rolled with it.
This first look is really casual. Toss on a denim jacket and sandals and you are ready to go. You can even change out the sandals to flats when it starts getting cooler. A long cardigan is also another option for fall that would be super cute!

I love this olive color with a light pink blouse! A little different than your normal cream or white. Wear this look to work and then out for dinner.

I love this look! The colors and lightweight sweater are perfect for transitioning to fall and cooler weather.

Keeping everyone in Texas and Louisiana in my prayers!
