January’s Amazon try on – here we go! Happy Friday! These are always so fun for me to put together! I get so excited about so many pieces every month that I can’t wait to share here. I never thought my go to for clothing would be Amazon but I would say 90% of my closet these days is from Amazon.
I asked in stories about a week ago if you are enjoying seeing spring already or still shopping for winter. While there were some that said winter, the majority said ready for spring even though it is still 2 months away. It is giving you something to look forward to and I can’t say that I disagree. Since there are a few still shopping for winter, I am including a few items that I love and will transition well into the spring and then bring on the dresses! Let’s see what I found this month!
My sizing: I am 5’6″ about 125ish. I am size small in most items, sometimes I size up to a medium and/or size down to an XS depending upon the brand and style.
I had been waiting for the striped version of this quarter-length sweater to come in stock but no such luck. I am glad I ordered it in the navy because it’s a really good sweater. So good, I kept it on all day after taking these pictures! I do think this would be great for spring if you live in cooler weather because the sleeves are shorter. Pair this with wide leg pants, denim and shorts into the spring time. Definitely a good find! Outfit: navy sweater | wide legged white denim | gold bangle bracelets
I threw this outfit on last week and loved the headband with it. This tunic sweater is so good for now and can be worn year after year. If you are on the shorter side, this would work as a sweater dress. I simply paired it with leggings and mules but you can wear with boots as well. I am wearing a size small here but could have done the XS. I can’t recommend this rattan headband enough. I have had it sitting on my desk for months now and didn’t think I was the headband type. I was sitting at my desk one night and needed something to throw my hair back and tried this on. I loved it so much that I wore it the next day. Outfit: white tunic sweater | leggings | rattan headband (option: three pack of headbands)
Cue the preppy outfit! When I put this on, I said to myself this has to be the most preppy outfit I have shared. I actually really love the vest paired with it. I think as moms we sometimes need to dress the part and this fits that criteria! The sneakers, the straight leg denim, I’m here for this outfit! I love the sleek fit of this striped button down making it easy to pair into denim and not too oversized to wear a vest over it. Outfit: striped button down (XS) | straight legged denim | fleece vest | gold bracelets | sneakers
I purchased this puff sleeve top back in December and have worn it quite a few times since. It has the cutest puff sleeves and I love the pattern. The floral print has been in my cart for the last few weeks and just might scoop it up for spring. I love a cute top tucked into denim. It’s a look that’s easy to recreate and you feel very put together. For sizing, I am wearing a size small here and could have done the XS.Outfit: tartan smock neck shirt | denim
How adorable is this button down dress?! I first shared it about 2 weeks ago in Sunday finds and while I had wished that I ordered the blue and white, I do love it in this neutral tone. So great for spring with sandals and looks cute paired with sneakers. The buttons are functional all the way down and tiered throughout. There is elastic around the arm holes that keep the sleeves in place. The collar is a standup which is so flattering. This is an all around great dress!Outfit: button down dress | bracelets | sneakers
I noticed this babydoll dress was on sale so I had to share it here! I always go for a long sleeve dress and these blue and white stripes are a classic. This dress comes in so many different colors and patterns. Definitely an Amazon favorite! This is a perfect dress for church, Easter, a baby shower etc. I wore the tan version of this dress in a medium while pregnant last year. I am wearing the size small here. Outfit: blue and white striped dress
I have the long sleeve version of this dress and I came across this ruffle sleeve version and wanted to try it! The sleeves are a bit wide but it’s the cutest detail! This dress is breezy, flowy and lightweight. I love a navy dress for spring and summer. It’s so refreshing to wear when your winter was most likely lots of black. Outfit: navy tiered dress | hinged bracelet
Very surprised at how much I love this striped midi dress! Stripes are a classic and I love how the panel of stripes at the bottom go in a different direction. It is midi length and being 5’6″ it hits me mid-calf. The 5 buttons are functional and I paired a denim jacket over the dress which is how I would wear it in the spring. Throw a few things in this cute tote bag and you are ready to go!Outfit: sleeveless striped dress | denim jacket | small tote bag | bracelets | heels
How cute is that baby? I mean this dress?! This was a quick add to cart and order! I will cheat and say this is my favorite dress from this try on. The puff sleeves, the smocking with the plaid print! Dress perfection! This had a surprising high split on the side that I did not expect. Wearing this size small here. Outfit: navy plaid dress | open toe heels | gold bracelet
I shared this floral maxi dress earlier in the month and it’s been a best seller! I wore it for a day date my husband and I had a few weeks ago to the beach. I love the sleeve length, the flattering elastic waist and maxi length. I can’t recommend this dress enough for wearing casually during the day, a beach vacation and church. This is a great summer dress! Outfit: floral maxi dress | gold hinged bracelet
This t-shirt dress is one I wore a ton last year. I have it in the dusty pink and scooped it up in this pale pink. The colors are very similar, I almost couldn’t tell a difference but I love the fit of this t-shirt dress. It’s not too tight and very breathable for the summer weather. You can absolutely pair this with a denim jacket and sneakers. It comes in 17 color options!Outfit: t-shirt dress | denim jacket | bangle bracelets | sneakers
I am always drawn to these bright colored dresses. I scoop up a new one every year to try. The pinks, yellows and purples are so pretty and it has functional buttons at the top. It is not quite maxi on me being 5’6″ so if you are shorter this would work for you! The straw tote is new this year! It is lined and quite big but not oversized which I love. It’s very lightweight so adding all the things will keep it from being too heavy. Outfit: floral dress | straw bag | bracelets | flip flops
It’s very rare that I pass up a blue and white striped dress. The smocking is on trend with the tie shoulders. I am very impressed with the fit and quality of this dress. I think this would be one you would reach for all spring and summer! I do find it to be a true maxi length on me and the smocking is true to size. Outfit: smocked maxi dress | straw bag | bracelets
There was some fun happening over in Instagram stories yesterday with this white maxi dress. I threw this dress on right when it arrived (as you can see it still needs to be steamed) because I had been waiting on it! This was one of those dresses that I was unsure about, so I decided to get everyone’s opinion in stories. Some loved it, but even more didn’t care for it. I totally get this dress is not everyone’s cup of tea. I’m going to try it on again closer to summer when I am (hopefully) more tan and really ready to wear white. It does come in 2 other colors if you are interested! Outfit: poplin maxi dress | block heels | bangles | rattan headband
Random purchases this month.
Sandwich box organizer | This thing is what an organizers dreams are made of or someone who wishes everything was organized. That would be me. It eliminated the ziploc boxes in the drawer making it pretty and keeping all of the bags together.
No spill sippy cups | We are slowly adding in the sippy cup for Lydia Grace. She just chews on it right now and thinks it’s funny. I remember using the take n toss cups for Dockery when he was a toddler, constantly having to replace them because the plastic would start coming off. With 13k reviews, I thought I would give these a try! So far so good with quality and I’m hoping they last.
Baby led feeding | I haven’t shared much about Lydia Grace recently but we started food a few months ago and she has no interest in it. I’m hoping it’s just a phase but I ordered this book to move towards whole food for her. It has some really good tips and recipes to try if you are in the same boat.
Cleaning gloves | Can’t wash dishes without these gloves!
I think it’s fun to look back to see what I was sharing last year at this time. I was about 4-5 months pregnant wanting to wear all the spring dresses. Check out January’s try on from last year and February’s post here if you are expecting and looking for options to wear that are not maternity.
As a reminder I do receive a commission on purchases made through my links.
Have a wonderful weekend! It’s going to be freezing here! Stay warm friends!
