Happy November! How was your Halloween?! Our neighborhood does Halloween like I have never seen. This is our 3rd year here and everyone is very well prepared with not only candy, but adult beverages too. I make this turkey chili every year and it’s always so yummy! November is one of my favorite months of the year! It finally cools off here, I celebrate my birthday, Thanksgiving and we put up our Christmas tree. My mom comes tomorrow for a full week and I’m excited to see her! The hubby and I are even getting away for one night! Hallelujah!
I’m here today with family picture outfit options! When I asked in stories the other day about holiday suggestions, sharing outfits for the whole family was highly suggested. We typically take family pictures with a photographer, but this year we had a random stranger snap a quick picture for us in North Carolina and I am so happy with it!
I am not one to typically color coordinate but I realized that when putting this together, it makes things a little easier when picking out outfits. These color combinations are not your usual family picture colors but I thought why not change it up and do something different than your normal red and plaid or something that really screams Christmas! I hope this is helpful for you. These collages took a little longer than I thought but I am so happy with the way they turned out. I went with 2 different color themes – navy and green & neutrals with cream and rust.
When selecting items, I think it’s key to not have too many patterns. If you do, only pick one person to wear a pattern. I played off of outfits for myself and put together everyone else’s outfits from that. One dressy outfit option and a more casual look for everyone. This midi skirt was the main focus and it was easy to pair with a cream top. For the rest of the family, I stuck with khaki pants for the boys and an adorable patterned dress for the girl. Next, for the navy and green color combinations, I chose this really pretty green sweater dress. And after I purchased this dress, I came across this cute cowl neck option too that’s $30 from Walmart! I shared the cream dress on Instagram earlier this week! I kept outfits for the family easy, sticking with navy and accenting the boys’ outfit with a grey sweater to break up the colors a little bit. Scroll down to see options for the whole family! I hope this was helpful for your upcoming holiday family pictures. This was a fun one to put together! Stay tuned for Christmas pjs coming to the blog tomorrow!
