Grab a cup of coffee friends – it’s a long one! I asked in stories the other day which try on you guys wanted to see next out of JCrew Factory and Old Navy and the results were really so close that I am sharing both today! I ended up taking quite a few pieces home (the sales were too good to pass up) but I am sharing everything that I tried on. Old Navy is having a 30% off sale with code THANKYOU or 40% off if you are a cardholder. JCrew Factory is 40-60% off!
I wore the same high rise skinny jeans, earrings and mules throughout the whole try on. Sadly, the mules are sold out but I have already ordered these to share with yall! I think they will be a great alternative!
First up, Old Navy! I mentioned it’s rare that I can go in the store and find a ton of pieces I actually love. This time was a little different – I found quite a few things and really was impressed with the quality of every piece. This coat won me over with the fit, color and price tag. It’s definitely one that will get a lot of use for years! Wearing the size XS. Funnel neck coat (size XS) | plush knit tee (size S)
Also loved it in this leopard print! I’m still thinking about this one! Truffle leopard coat (size XS) | plush knit tee (size S)
A basic, black midi dress to wear for so many occasions. I love the longer length which makes it great for anyone who is taller or shorter. At 5’6″ this dress hit me right below my knees. The mock neck is very sophisticated and it’s an easy dress to layer many different ways like I did below. Mock neck midi dress (size S)
Funnel neck coat (size XS) | midi dress (size S)
I would also wear a belt over this dress or throw a denim jacket over it for a more casual look. Midi dress (size S) | super long open front sweater (size XS)
Absolutely loved this plush knit tee and took this one home with me. I love how easy this looks with denim and a fun earring! It’s super soft and a very pretty cream color. This will be a great layering tee for the cooler months to pair with cardigans, vests and jackets. . Plush knit tee (size S)
Here it is layered with a cardigan. Loved the color of this one! Plush knit tee (size S) | soft brush open front sweater (size XS)
I’ve been so drawn to rust/orange colors recently and thought this top would be so pretty for fall. Pair it with denim like I did here or with a skirt for a work look. Pintuck blouse (size S)
Currently wearing this as I am typing this post! It’s super cozy and soft. Will be a great layering piece or to wear like this with leggings. Fleece pullover (size S)
The only dress I was looking forward to trying on was this tie belt shift dress but sadly it was not in store. Such a cute dress for work while it’s still warm and pull it out again next year in the spring!
Now on to Jcrew Factory! It is one of my absolute favorite stores! I usually try on a fair amount and always put together different ways to wear a few pieces. Two pieces I was really looking forward to trying on were both of these coats. After coming from Old Navy and getting the coat I shared above, I really wanted to see the differences between the coats.
I loved that both of these coats came in more colors and there’s a shorter and longer option. The village coat (the shorter one) comes in a pretty pink and navy color and the new city coat (the longer one that has been around for many seasons) comes in 5 different colors. Both are classic, camel color jackets with gold hardware. I did find the new city coat to be a tad itchy and I went down a size in that one. For the price, both are amazing coats but if you are looking for one at a lower price point, I highly recommend the Old Navy one. Village coat (size 0) | new city coat (size 00)
I was also really looking forward to trying this sweater blazer on to see the color difference from last year. This color is very similar to the one I have from last year, just being a little lighter. Highly recommend this piece for work wear or with denim! It’s a great classic piece to last in your closet for years and comes in more colors this year!Sweater blazer (size XS) | striped tee (size S) | black tee (size S)
This is my kind of casual, fall outfit! I loved the gold hardware on this puffer vest. I just paired it with an easy sweater and both the vest and sweater come in different colors. Rollneck pullover sweater (size S) | puffer vest (size XS)
If you are not a huge fan of wearing a full on leopard sweater, this one is for you! The leopard ruffle details are so chic. The material is like a sweatshirt so it’s a little bit thicker than I thought. Love this as a work option with skirts and pants or with denim and flats. Ruffle neck pullover (size S)
I shared this sleeveless turtleneck in stories last night. It’s still hot in Florida so wearing sleeveless sweaters like this one are what I am reaching for right now. This will be great to layer when it starts cooling off. Check out another way I styled it below. Sleeveless turtleneck (size XS)
I love the same color paired together! Throw heels on for date night with this sweater jacket or wear it both ways below as a work option. You could also pair a striped tee, easy black or cream tee under for weekend wear. Sweater jacket (size XS) | sleeveless turtleneck (size XS) | button down (size XS)
Always looking for different sweaters and this one is so cute with the button details around the neck. It’s super soft and great as an everyday casual option. It comes in a few other colors.Button collar pullover sweatshirt (size XS)
There were quite a few different plaid button down options but I was drawn to this classic navy and red. So great for fall festivals and this time of year. Here I go again but I would layer a vest over this with booties. You could even wear a belt with this and flats for a really casual outfit. Flannel shirt (size XS)
And lastly, because it’s still so warm I’m loving these sweet little eyelet peplum tops. This is a classic one that doesn’t go out of style. Such a cute top with heels for date night or as a work option. Eyelet peplum top (size 2)
Here are a few of my favorite classic pieces from JCrew Factory that are back in stock this year!
I get majority of Dockery’s clothes and my husband’s dress shirts and jeans from Jcrew Factory. Here are a few things I took home for them yesterday and a few things I have my eye on.
Enjoy your Friday and have a great weekend!

I am so excited for the colder weather and it makes me want all of the coats you just featured! The black midi dress is definitely a keeper. Not only versatile but you really can’t go wrong with black!

Hi there! I’m looking to buy this Old Navy coast secondhand and was wondering how tall you are? I’m petite so I worry about length of coats a lot. Thanks so much for the help!
Hi Danielle! I’m 5’6. I hope that helps!
