Hello, hello! I hope your week has been off to a good start! It has actually been chilly here the last few days. Very surprised but it’s beautiful out! I am still patiently waiting for spring and all of the new arrivals from various retailers. I feel like I kind of missed out on it last year being pregnant and I’m ready for dresses, shorts, sandals, straw totes – all of the cutest spring things I can find!
That brings me to today’s post! Floral dresses have been catching my eye since last year. I shared fall’s floral dress here recently and still love it! They can be of any kind, big florals, small florals, maxi dresses, short dresses – you name it, I’m trying it! I really do think floral dresses are here to stay. It’s about finding the right pattern/print that you love, in a silhouette that’s flattering to your body type and wearing it with confidence. I briefly tuned in to “The Blind Side” movie the other night and there’s a scene when Leigh Ann is shopping with Michael for clothing and she says, if you don’t love it in the store you aren’t going to love it in your closet. How true is that?! My job here is to help you find pieces that you love that you want to wear long term. I have a closet full of clothes but yet nothing to wear all at the same time. That is one of my goals this year as well, to find pieces I love that I want to wear over and over and I want you to do the same.
Both of the floral dresses below are going to get a lot of wear these upcoming seasons. The patterns are sophisticated enough to wear to church, work, a day date etc. The colors are so pretty in both making them an easy transition from winter to spring. I simply paired both with mules that I have been loving to fit the season even though it’s warm out. If you are looking for more floral dress options, I am sharing more finds at the end of this post!
