Hitting pause on all things holiday, Christmas and gift giving for a styled post. I truly miss doing these posts and hope to get back to them on a regular basis soon. It’s the main reason I started blogging 4 years ago. Sometimes pieces stop me in my tracks. I would say that’s what happened with this beautiful floral print dress. As trends have changed quite a bit lately, moving more towards oversized dresses, shorter tops and baggy mom jeans, my style just doesn’t fit that all of the time. I don’t want to change my style to follow the trends that I won’t want to wear a year from now or ones that I don’t feel comfortable in. That may mean spending a bit more on an investment piece that will last in my closet.
I shared this dress as a Thanksgiving option if you are dressing up. I paired it with a simple strappy heel but I love that you can wear it with a simple flat or even boots. It has the prettiest ruffle collar (that kept getting blown up by the wind), a tie waist to flatter and long sleeves to compliment the whole dress.
Outfit: floral wrap style maxi dress (also linked at this retailer here & here) | open toe heel | small tote bag | earrings
That’s all for today! Have a wonderful Thursday!
