Hello, hello there! My fingers haven’t typed on the blog in over a week! Life has just been busy. I’ve had quite the time personally with my head hurting since the end of July and I’ve been to various doctors to figure it all out. It’s so abnormal for me as I have never had headaches – which I’m thankful for because geez they are no fun. My mom and I took a quick trip down to Orlando earlier in the week after my husband met a guy who specializes in intense acupressure, getting your body aligned and tuned up. I thought at this point, what could it hurt?! It was amazing what he could do, focusing on various pressure points on your body. He said it takes time and to be patient but I’m hopeful for good results. I haven’t mentioned much about the headaches here because I really don’t have an answer to what’s going on. I’m hoping to be on the mend soon and to feel more like myself again.
It’s been a while since I’ve shared 5 things on a Friday. It’s just a random bunch of things that I have been loving, wearing, trying out or have my eyes on. I also know there are quite a few of you that only follow the blog, so if you are here from IG or any other bits around the interwebs and you have seen something already, just know that these things are absolutely worth sharing again!
ONE. I never thought there would come a day that I would walk out of the house in biker shorts. Well, my friend, that day came earlier this week when we took that trip down to Orlando for the day. I knew I wanted to be comfortable during the drive and wear something other than full leggings during the treatment. I went with a full black outfit and threw a sweatshirt over it to give it some life. My new favorite sneakers came long for the ride too!
TWO. How absolutely adorable is this pumpkin peter pan collar top for sweet girls?! I’m scooping this one up for Lydia Grace! I think it’s just precious and under $20!
THREE. If you have been following along on IG, I’ve been sharing this handbag recently. I did a try on with it after a sweet reader asked if it can be worn on the shoulders. I would say yes it can, with a snug fit. It’s not your massive handbag that holds a ton but I love the smaller, sleeker size of it. I had it in my cart for months waiting on the neutral color that I wanted but then settled on this rich brown color and I’m so happy I did!
FOUR. Let’s chat IG and reels for a second. It’s a place that I have resisted for so long because of the time and energy it takes up. It was never the end place that I wanted all of my content to go towards. When I started doing what I do, it was to have this little space here on the blog for you to come to, to get outfit inspiration, be inspired, maybe forget about something that’s bothering you just for a minute and scroll aimlessly while passing time. At the end of the day, I love doing this! I don’t think I will ever give it up. But just as in all aspects of life, if we notice something feels stagnant, it may be time to try something different. And that is what I am doing with all of the reels I am posting on IG now. It’s been fun so far and I am enjoying creating them. Don’t worry, the blog is not going anywhere, I’m just trying to find my groove in this ever changing world of social media and to not be so repetitive. If you want to follow along for outfit inspiration in live, moving form, I’d love for you to follow along there. If IG is not your cup of tea, I totally get it and you will always be able to find outfit inspiration right in this little neck of the webs.
FIVE. And speaking of IG and reels, my Walmart finds and outfits were a hit! If you missed it there, I’m sharing all of the Walmart fall goodness below! The quilted top has been a top seller since I shared it! Wear it closed as well or paired with dress pants for work. This color is the it color for fall! I have been seeing it everywhere!
Cheers to the weekend!
