School is out for summer! Today is officially the last day of kindergarten for the little guy and somehow he’s moving on to 1st grade. We actually had him repeat VPK and it was the best decision ever. He’s thriving on so many levels and I could not be more proud to be his mother. I’m picking him up and surprising him with a fun outing to the waterpark. There’s these lily pads that he has never been tall enough for and I’m thinking today is going to be the day he can finally get across them! It’s the little things we get excited for these days.
Here we go with 5 things on this beautiful Friday!
This Old Navy dress is back in stock finally and on sale for $21 when added to your cart. I adore this dress! I’m not much of an Old Navy shopper but this dress doesn’t even look like it came from Old Navy. It’s fully lined and I have already washed it, hung to dry and stuck it in the dryer quickly to get the wrinkles out and it held up great!
I was out with my husband a few weeks ago and spilled red wine on my white dress. I went to the bartender to get a napkin and she told me a little stain remover secret! The next day I was chatting with my friend about it and she said her sister does that same thing! I filled a mason jar with equal parts dawn dish soap and hydrogen peroxide and let it sit overnight to turn the solution white. The next day I took a small towel, damped it in the mix and gently wiped/pressed on the stain, washed it on delicate and it came right out! You can let the solution sit for a few hours on a white dress but if you are using it on colored clothing, I would wash right away.
Lydia Grace’s 1st birthday was a few weeks ago! We had a very low key party with family and close friends. I chose a floral, girly theme and wanted to share what I used for napkins, plates, a few decorations and her sweet invitations from Etsy.
So many things I have had my eye on recently! I thought I would share them below. Lots of Walmart, Loft, Amazon and JCrew Factory goodness!
square neck floral pattern dress | long sleeve embroidery mini dress | pull on midi skirt | light blue maxi dress
slide sandals | striped polo tank | one shoulder maxi dress
large straw tote | light blue shorts | rattan hoop earrings
Lastly, are you a bogg bag fan?! I feel like you either want to join the crowd or stay as far away from them as you can. I used my Bogg bag all last summer and thought it was great because it could hold so much and it’s very easy to clean. But, it gets really heavy. My friend was carrying a Simply Southern bag that’s very identical to it and I had to order it to try it out. I’m bringing it with me to the pool today and will report back on the comparisons and differences.
Cheers to the weekend!
